Clinical overview
Maintaining stable body temperature is critical during and after anesthesia in veterinary patients. Hypothermia increases the risk of shock, cardiac arrhythmias, and long-term complications including renal insufficiency. The MD-T1 Fluid Warmer addresses this clinical challenge by safely warming intravenous fluids, blood products, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions to therapeutic temperatures before infusion.
By reducing the temperature differential between the animal and the infused fluid, the MD-T1 minimizes the metabolic burden on the patient, reducing the energy required to maintain core body temperature. This simple yet effective approach complements other perioperative warming strategies and is compatible with both pump-assisted and gravity-fed infusion systems.
